Our Story
Aurora Gourmet Produce is a family owned Australian company producing premium grain-fed lamb in Tasmania. The lamb is raised in the pristine Tasmanian midlands on a special diet of high protein natural grains. Every lamb is processed halal and is export certified.
After 3 years of research and development, Michael Doherty launched Aurora Lamb in Tasmania in 2007. His goal was to produce a high quality lamb meat that would be consistently tender and tasty all year round, designed specifically with the food service industry in mind.
In 2010 Aurora Lamb is now exported to over 8 countries and has a healthy domestic market as well. Aurora Lamb is served in destinations and venues as diverse as the Man o’ Ross pub in Ross, Tasmania (population 272) to L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Tokyo.
From Moscow to Melbourne Aurora Lamb has gained the reputation as a premium meat, sought after for its wonderful flavour and texture.
